DICEPHORIA
Online D&D for beginners, adventurers, and everyone in between.
About
Dicephoria is an online D&D community and gaming space for people who want to actually play instead of spending six weeks trying to figure out how to play.I run D&D 5e (2014 rules) online through Foundry VTT and Discord, with games for both newer players and people who already know their way around a character sheet.New to D&D? I’ll teach you as we go.Already know how to play? Great. You can just show up and play. The goal is pretty simple: good adventures, interesting characters, fun people, and a table where you don't have to pretend you know what you're doing when you absolutely do not.
Ready to Play?
Check out the current Dicephoria games and find a table that looks like your kind of adventure.[ FIND A GAME ]New to D&D? That's completely fine. Start with a beginner-friendly game and learn as you play.
NEW TO D&D?
Cool. Come play. You don't need to memorize a rulebook, know every class by heart, or pretend you understand what everyone is talking about.I'll explain things when they come up and help you get your character figured out. You'll pick things up as you play.
WHAT MAKES DICEPHORIA DIFFERENT
Story FirstYour choices matter, NPCs remember what you do, and the story can change because of what happens at the table.Rule of CoolWe use D&D 5e (2014), but we're not stopping the game every five minutes to argue over a technicality. If an idea makes sense and makes the game better, we'll work it out and keep going.Beginner FriendlyNew to D&D? That's fine. I'll explain things as they come up and help you get comfortable with the game without expecting you to know everything beforehand. No Acting RequiredYou don't have to do voices, perform, or roleplay like you're auditioning for a theater production. You can just play your character.Foundry VTTGames use Foundry VTT for maps, character sheets, rolls, and everything else on the virtual tabletop, with Discord for voice chat.
MEET SAUCY
Hey, I'm Saucy!I'm the DM behind Dicephoria, and I really like watching a group of players take a story somewhere I never expected it to go.I've been running D&D for years, and one of my favorite parts of DMing is helping newer players get comfortable with the game while still giving experienced players plenty of room to do their thing. My DMing style is cinematic, player-driven, and flexible without throwing the rules out the window. I put a lot of thought into the world and the story, but I don't need players to follow the path I planned. Your decisions can change what happens, and I enjoy figuring out where the adventure goes from there.I also like keeping the game moving. I’ll teach when you need it, make rulings when something comes up, and keep us focused on actually playing instead of getting stuck in rules debates.I'm here to run the game, give you room to make your character your own, and make sure everyone gets a chance to be part of the adventure.
